Lincoln – Nebraska Men’s Basketball Coach Fred Hoiberg finalized his staff with the hiring of Luca Virgilio as Director of Basketball Operations.
Virgilio comes to Nebraska after spending five seasons at St. John’s, most recently as a management analyst for the Red Storm basketball program for the past two seasons. He was a part of the St. John’s staff which made a pair of NCAA Tournaments (2015 and 2019) in his tenure at the school.
In his role at Nebraska, Virgilio will serve as the primary day-to-day administrator within the basketball office, coordinating team travel and serving as a liaison to administration, academics, HuskerVision, athletic communications, digital communications, marketing and life skills.
