Nebraska great Yvonne Turner enters her third WNBA season with Phoenix in 2019, as the Mercury tip-off the regular season against the Seattle Storm on Saturday in a game televised nationally by ABC at 2:30 p.m. (CT).
Turner, who has helped the Mercury to back-to-back playoff berths in her first two seasons with the club, is in her 10th season of professional basketball since helping the Huskers to the Big 12 Conference title and an NCAA Sweet Sixteen bid as a senior in 2010.
The 2006 Gatorade Nebraska High School Player of the Year at Bellevue East, Turner played 126 games in her four-year collegiate career as a Husker.
