Close the door on any talk of Tristan Gebbia having a change of heart. The Nebraska football team announced Tuesday morning Scott Frost has okayed the release of the quarterback from his scholarship.
There was a bit of hope by some (okay me) that Gebbia might go the way of Jordy Tshimanga. The former Nebraska basketball center asked for his release back in December, but Tim Miles was able to talk him into staying.
He stayed until this summer. Has Scott Frost been able to do the same, the Huskers would have at least had two scholarship quarterbacks on the active roster.
