The Nebraska track and field teams won 17 events during the two-day Holiday Inn Invitational, which concluded Saturday at the Devaney Sports Center.
Nebraska had several standout performers, including Antoine Lloyd, who set a personal best of 7.9 seconds in the men's 60-meter hurdles. Lloyd edged Jamiel Trimble of Air Force.
Lloyd was pleased with the victory, after he set his previous personal best (:7.95) in Friday's qualifying. The sophomore said his low times were the result of all the work he put in during the offseason under the guidance of longtime sprints and hurdles coach Billy Maxwell.
