In a year of ups and downs for Nebraska baseball, this Friday night had the feel of a Friday night in the late 2010’s when Michigan and Nebraska were deciding the top of the conference standings nearly every time they met. One player, however, was in for a whole new Friday night experience.
Tucker Timmerman, yes he who took the 106 mph ball off the bat to his cheek, was called on to make his first start as part of the weekend rotation. Friday nights had been the Achille’s heel of the Huskers as they make the stretch run.
