We have officially reached May. I’m not overly certain that this is still a thing, but back in my day we would make May Day baskets for friends and play “ding dong ditch” and try to get back into the car before they tagged you. It was basically a great way for parents to try and get rid of plastic easter eggs and easter candy.
More importantly, it was a fun way to tell your friends how much they meant to you, even if your parents had to drive you everywhere. The best way for me to celebrate “May Day” now is by screaming it at the top of my lungs while trying to avoid all of the road construction on every major street in Lincoln.
