Lincoln – Andrew White III scored a season-high 30 points and Shavon Shields had his third 20-point game of the season as Nebraska defeated Abilene Christian 73-63 Saturday afternoon at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The Cornhuskers, who outscored the Wildcats by 12 in the second half, were paced by White, whose scoring output was the highest by a Husker since Terran Petteway scored 32 against Michigan State last season. Shields scored 21 points while Tai Webster chipped in 10.
The Huskers started slow, not hitting a shot from the floor until Jacobson’s basket nearly five minutes into the game.
