First, Lauren Stivrins impressed with her serving, which is one of her new tricks this season. Later, she was doing what she showed she could do last year in flying high and out wide for some oh-so impressive kills.
Stivrins and all of her skills were a major highlight for the Nebraska volleyball team on Friday during the first day of the Ameritas Players Challenge. The fifth-ranked Huskers won both matches to improve to 3-1. They’ll play one more match on Saturday against Santa Clara at 2 p.m.
In Friday’s first match Stivrins had four ace serves in Nebraska’s 25-17, 25-14, 25-17 win against Ohio.
