Hope is a critical element in life, especially if your life involves cheering for a Nebraska team that will start a quarterback in 2018 who has zero experience in a major-college football game.
“He sees things and makes a throw,” Mike Riley said last August. “And I’m still to the point where, him being a freshman, I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, that was a good play.’ I just think he’s a player. I know that’s an old cliché, but I think he’s a player.
