Steven M. Sipple: Jack Stoll rises thanks to proven combination: Talent plus chip on shoulder

Upon his arrival on Nebraska’s campus in 2016, Jack Stoll was in no position to extol the virtues of the Huskers’ weight-training facilities.

Because of an injury to his right wrist, the Colorado native couldn’t do upper-body strength training for eight months.

“I was the skinny kid who was kind of on the team, kind of just off on the side doing his own thing with trainers,” Stoll said last week.
