It was quite a successful weekend for Nebraska athletics with the Husker football team establishing its first winning record in quite some time with a 17-9 home win over Northwestern on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. But, one could say the Husker women athletes owned the weekend with their accomplished feats on the court and on the field.
Jake Sorensen, radio show host at the Ticket FM 93.7, ran down exactly what took place in Husker sports over the past weekend at Monday’s Executive Club luncheon in the Graduate Hotel in downtown Lincoln.
“I’ll begin today by just giving a huge shoutout and congratulations to Nebraska volleyball for winning what really was a match of the century,” said an excited Sorensen.
