KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen is waiting for a resolution on the landmark $2.8 billion federal class-action antitrust lawsuit colloquially known as the House settlement.

The House settlement, once referred to as “an intergalactic paradigm shift” for college athletics by attorneys involved in the case, will affect nearly every aspect of college athletics. As written, it is intended to take effect as of July 1.

With that deadline looming and the settlement yet to be finalized, what’s the feeling around Nebraska Athletics?

“I thought it would be done by now,” Dannen told the Journal Star last weekend in a two-hour, wide-ranging interview.
