It seems Purdue is always involved with Nebraska at the end of the season. 2022 saw Purdue roll out the tarp, sit in the dugout and make their way to Omaha instead of Nebraska. (They went 0-2 by the way.) Then in 2023, Nebraska went to West Lafayette and ended Purdue’s season, right in front of that tarp. 2024 provides the rubber match of the series. Nebraska looking to end Purdue’s season, and Purdue trying to send Nebraska home early from Omaha.
Nebraska hit a couple balls hard in the first, looking a lot more aggressive at the plate than last night, but still worked Purdue starter Luke Wagner deep into the counts.
