Barrett Ruud is heading to Florida again.
The former Husker and Tampa Bay Buccaneer is joining Scott Frost's staff at Central Florida, the school announced Tuesday.
Ruud will be the quality control administrator for the Knights. He was an intern at Nebraska under Bo Pelini in 2014.
Frost, the former Nebraska quarterback and Wood River native, was hired as Central Florida coach Dec. 1.
Ruud becomes the latest with Nebraska roots to join Frost's staff. Last week, Frost announced the hiring of former Husker guard Greg Austin as offensive line coach.
"Greg Austin was vital for me to have a guy that knew our offense from an offensive line perspective so that I would not have to teach it," Frost told reporters last week.
