Reviewing the 2019 Colorado Buffaloes

Colorado opened the 2019 season with a 52-31 victory over Colorado State in Denver Friday night. The Buffaloes took advantage of four turnovers to turn a game that Colorado State won on the stat sheet into a decisive Colorado victory.

The Buffs’ star of the game was new sophomore tailback Alex Fontenot, who rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 6.6 yards per carry. Star receiver Laviska Shenault only touched the ball six times in the game, as the Buffs didn’t want to overuse their primary offensive weapon; look for that to change this weekend in front of a sea of Red in West Evanston.
