Red Shuts Out White for Game One Win

Lincoln, Neb. – The Red Team scored one run in each of the last three innings on its way to a 3-0 win over the White Team during Game 1 of the Red-White Series at Hawks Field on Friday evening.

In a game that lasted six innings and included 11-batter lineups, five Red Team pitchers combined to pitch a shutout. Max Schreiber (2.0 innings), Ethan Frazier (1.0), Tyler Martin (1.0), Caleb Feekin (1.0) and Trey Kissack (1.0) each pitched for the Red Team.

After a scoreless first three innings for both teams, freshman Spencer Schwellenbach blasted a two-out solo home run to center field to give the Red Team a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning.
