Red Report: Jaimes to get first career start at RT; Morgan may not play

Nebraska's growing list of the walking wounded on the offensive line has paved the way for a true freshman to make his first start.

Brenden Jaimes, the 6-foot-5, 280-pounder from Texas, will be the man at right tackle when the Husker offense takes the field Saturday at Memorial Stadium against Rutgers.

"Good player, good kid, we expect good things for him," NU coach Mike Riley said after Thursday's practice.

One of four true freshman linemen in the 2017 recruiting class, Jaimes was perhaps the most highly touted.

He came to Lincoln ranked among the top 300 overall prospects in the nation by Scout.
