Red Report: Banker says Husker defenders still working on confidence

Disappointed.

"Disappointed in all of us. Coaches, players, everybody," Husker defensive coordinator Mark Banker said Monday of the performance in the 55-45 loss to Purdue.

Banker said every week has presented its own challenges to a defense adjusting to new teachings and schemes. Clearly the Huskers weren't at their best at adjusting in a game where they allowed 457 yards to an offense that came into the game ranked 102nd nationally.

"And then maybe things not going your way, and then dealing with that adversity, as well as being backed up four different times (due to turnovers).
