Recruit watch: Snodgrass setting records at York; Newsom getting reps at OLB

Snodgrass, a Nebraska recruit, set a school record for single-game total yardage in the Dukes' thrilling 42-40 win against Central Conference rival Seward on Friday. Snodgrass finished with 405 total yards (122 rushing and 283 passing). The senior rushed for three touchdowns and threw for two more.

Husker defensive end recruit Mosai Newsom (Waverly, Iowa) returned an interception 53 yards, setting up a touchdown in Waverly-Shell Rock's 27-0 win against Independence.

“Outside linebacker is a new spot for me so I’m still kind of learning," Newsom told the newspaper. "It was fun. Everyone flew around, everyone played hard.
