Maurice Washington arrives in Lincoln on Thursday afternoon as a full-qualifier and an intriguing competitor in the Nebraska backfield.
The freshman running back received word of his academic clearance on Wednesday afternoon and wasted no time making it to campus.
"First touchdown of many today!!," Washington tweeted around the time he was expected to get into town.
Washington, listed at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, needed the whole summer to complete the academic coursework, but managed to get it done before practice No. 1 on Friday morning. Now Nebraska only waits on wide receiver Dominick Watt (Miramar, Florida).
