Rex Burkhead started at running back for the New England Patriots, recording two carries for three yards and three receptions for 41 yards. Early in the first quarter, Burkhead caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady to give the Patriots a 6-0 lead over the New Orleans Saints, helping the team to 36-20 victory.
On the offensive line, Spencer long started at center for the Washington Redskins and helped the team rush for 229 yards in its 27-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams.
