"There is no doubt that we are going to create a great defense," Nebraska's defensive coordinator said. "We are going to create the best defense in the country here. There is no doubt about that. It's just going to take time."
The comment was the kicker on a long, thoughtful answer to a question about how Diaco, his staff and Nebraska's defensive players handled the days after the latest performance that left fans and media howling.
"If given the opportunity, I know what we're going to create," Diaco said.
