Evanston, Ill. – The Nebraska soccer team (4-7-2, 0-3-2 Big Ten) dropped a 2-1 decision to Northwestern at Martin Stadium and Ryan Fieldhouse on Sunday afternoon.
The match, which marked the Huskers' fifth conference game of the season, featured a few weather delays. Originally scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start, the game was delayed 45 minutes due to lightning in the area, but the first half was able to be played outside at Martin Stadium.
The Huskers attacked first as Abbey Schwarz sent a cross to the center of the pitch to fellow freshman Sarah Weber who gathered and took a shot, but it sailed wide of the goal.
