So, the long awaited saga of whether Shamiel Stevenson will play has come to a close for the season. He has been denied a waiver to play for Nebraska until the 2020-2021 season.
This was the second waiver filed by the athletic department on behalf of Shamiel. The first one was denied along with the followup request for reconsideration of it. Nebraska will not file another and the case will be closed.
Shamiel transferred to Nebraska this past summer from the University of Nevada. He left after then head coach Eric Musselman took the open Arkansas head coaching job.
