In addition to walk-on Bret Porter and scholarship forward Yvan Ouedraogo, fellow teammates Akol Arop and Elijah Wood have also entered their names in the NCAA transfer portal and will look to continue their college basketball careers in another uniform.
Arop, a 6-foot-5 forward from Omaha, spent the last two seasons in the Nebraska program but missed the 2020-21 season following knee surgery in November. In 2019-20, he played in 21 games, averaging 1.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.
Arop’s best performance came at Michigan when he set season highs in both points (5) and rebounds (6) in 20 minutes of game action.
