Nebraska football wide receiver Jacory Barney is expecting a tremendous sophomore season. Unfortunately, before he can really get rolling on that goal, he's going to have to overcome the hit he took in the Huskers' first game of the season.
Early in the game against Cincinnati, Barney caught a pass from quarterback Dylan Raiola and then took a rather hard hit by two defenders. The hit was so violent that many onlookers expected him to be injured. However, he continued to play on Thursday night and ended with 5 catches and 27 yards.
