The Scott Frost experience lasted all of one play Saturday night. The Huskers and the Akron Zips managed to get in the opening kickoff before lightning struck within an eight mile radius of Memorial Stadium. Nebraska and Akron have rescheduled for Sunday with a 10:30 AM kickoff.

After over three hours of weather related delays, a decision was made by Bill Moos, Big Ten officials, and MAC officials to postpone the game until Sunday. The game will now be shown on FS1.

The weather started out with a few individual lightning strikes right as kickoff happened and then moved to a torrential downpour with 80 mile per hour winds approaching Lincoln closer to ten.
