After Wednesday’s practice, Cornhuskers head coach Mike Riley said a resolution to the mystery of Tre Bryant might be coming soon. In fact, the coach said the decision to get his running back a medical redshirt might come as soon as Monday.
During his address to the media, Riley made it clear that one of the reasons the decision had not been made yet, is because it was up to the player. Bryant is the one who is going to decide whether he tries to come back and play for the Nebraska football team in 2017.

Should he decide his season is over, he would almost assuredly be able to keep his sophomore status for 2018.
