As the new year begins and thus a new Nebraska Football season, expectations are going to be high. The wide receiver position for Nebraska didn’t provide the most production last year. Now, I feel as though 2020 will rely a lot on the underclassman. The talent is certainly evident at the position.
JD Spielman was the best upperclassman wide receiver in 2019. He recorded 49 receptions for 898 yards and five touchdowns. It’s no secret that he handled the bulk of the Nebraska wide receiving attack. Spielman along with the running backs were able to help the passing attack be sustainable.
