Much ado has been made about this incoming freshman defensive class. Nebraska Football certainly recruited some diamonds in the rough, and they should be able to make an impact not only right now, but certainly in the future.
Quentin Newsome is one of the players that could definitely help the defense keep trending upward. The freshman from North Gwinnett High School put together a solid resume during his time on the gridiron. In his junior season of 2017-2018, he really began to break out. In 14 games, he recorded 49 tackles. 40 of them were solo, and nine of them were assisted.
