Throughout the course of spring ball, we have talked at length about the Nebraska Football defense and expectations coming into the 2019 season. Honestly, we have focused a lot on the defensive line in the linebackers while completely ignoring the secondary. With a guy like Deontai Williams in the secondary, he is impossible to ignore.
Williams had a strong 2018 season. He recorded two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, and two pass breakups. He was tied for the team lead in interceptions, forced fumbles, and fumble recoveries. His best game of the season came in Nebraska’s loss at Wisconsin on October 6.
