Nebraska Football: Bob Diaco provides interesting subplot to Purdue game

A familiar face will be back at Memorial Stadium, he just will be on the opposing sideline. Purdue hired Bob Diaco to be their defensive coordinator on Monday, and Nebraska Football will play the Boilermakers in the season-opener next year.

Diaco was the defensive coordinator for Nebraska Football in 2017. Initially, he was thought to be a great higher. However, Nebraska went 4-8, and that certainly was discouraging. Combine that with the fact that Nebraska was paying him $825,000, and that only made things hurt a little bit more.

The defense was terrible overall. It started in the opening game, when Nebraska gave up 36 points to Arkansas State.
