Nebraska Cornhuskers News: Surprise conference move, a new believer, a lost NFL bet

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are officially joining Conference USA. At least the Nebraska bowling team will. The rest of the sports programs will, of course, still be members of the Big Ten.

However, as is the case with some more minor sports where a major conference might not have enough teams competing in it, the Huskers will now take the bowling team, which had been independent since the program elevated to varsity status during the 1997-98 season, to CUSA alongside other new members, Wright State and Sacred Heart for the 2025-26 season.

Other new Conference USA rivals for the Nebraska Cornhuskers include Arkansas State, Jacksonville State, Louisiana Tech, Sam Houston, Tulane, Valparaiso, Vanderbilt, Wichita State, and Youngstown State.
