Nebraska Cornhuskers News: Deal with the devil, the next step, more

A new report surfaced on Wednesday night that claims that the Big Ten might be looking for exciting ways to raise capital. While Nebraska Cornhuskers fans might like the idea at first glance, especially since the plan is said to be bringing about $2 billion to the conference.

However, since the deal would bring private capital investors into the fold and make it so that the conference would be beholden to people not remotely invested in the conference otherwise, there has been some pushback. Some warn about taking on any debt to these kinds of investors.

One such person, who could be leading the charge to save the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the rest of the conference, is a Michigan Regent.
