Nebraska commit Trae Taylor's season debut shows why the Huskers are so excited

Nebraska football commit Trae Taylor is one of the biggest gets of the Matt Rhule era on the recruiting front. On Friday night, the Carmel Catholic quarterback started his junior season and once again showed why Husker fans are so excited to see him lace it up for NU.

Taylor's 2024 season saw him throw for 3,061 yards, 20 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while also running for just over 340 yards. This year, he wants to improve on those numbers, as well as improve on his high school's 3-6 record a year ago. So far, so good as he led Carmel Catholic to a 52-13 victory in the season opener against Grayslake Central.
