If there is one area where Nebraska basketball head coach Tim Miles has had great success, it’s luring transfers to the program that turn out to be big-time contributors.
Most of those transfers are guys that were backups and bench players on their previous teams. James Palmer Jr. is one of those. So was Terran Petteway.
Miles was able to turn those players into go-to scorers. If he could somehow lure Dru Smith, a guard from Evansville, he’d be getting a player that is already a developed scorer.
Evansville sophomore guard Dru Smith told ESPN he has heard from Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Ball State, Northeastern, Richmond and VCU.
