The 2018 Nebraska Baseball season gets underway this afternoon as Nebraska opens up play in Tempe Arizona at the Husker Classic. For the second consecutive year, Nebraska will open their season with a contest against the University of California-Riverside Highlanders.
Riverside opened their season earlier today, winning 8-1 versus the Washington State Cougars. Washington State is off the rest of tonight, and will face the Huskers in the first game of a Nebraska doubleheader tomorrow.
For the Huskers, Head Coach Darin Erstad will give the ball to Senior Luis Alvarado, as he makes his first start on the mound as a Husker.
