Nebraska Announces that Troy Walters and Huskers Have Mutually Agreed to Part Ways

What has been long rumored is now official. Troy Walters is no longer the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Nebraska. Earlier in the day there was a report that Nebraska offered a position to current LSU Wide Receivers Coach Mickey Joseph which would have, if accepted, obviously replaced Troy Walters on the staff.

The Mickey Joseph report likely pushed Scott Frost and Bill Moos to say something immediately especially with a couple wide receiver recruits coming in this weekend.

Here is the statement from the Athletic Department:

The Nebraska football program announced today that offensive coordinator/receivers coach Troy Walters and the Huskers have mutually agreed to part ways.
