It wasn't always pretty and it took the entire game but Nebraska came home Sunday afternoon and pulled off a victory.
Rhode Island held no punches early on as they came into Lincoln ready to play. Unlike the Huskers, the Rams played a very intense and well disciplined game early on in the afternoon. But it was the the second half hunger that helped Nebraska pull out the win on this rainy December afternoon.
While Nebraska was turning the ball over and missing shots, Rhode Island was keeping their team in sync and draining most of what they were tossing up.
