LEXINGTON, Ky. — Last summer when there was an international volleyball tournament in Omaha, many of the current Nebraska players attended.
There were only a few thousand fans at each match. Still, what Nebraska setter Kelly Hunter remembered most about that event is that every time one of the three former Huskers playing in the tournament was announced, the crowd went nuts.
Well, get ready to be blown away, Kelly. On Thursday evening you’re going to run out of the tunnel in Omaha for the national semifinals, and when the 17,000 fans greet you it will be a sound like you’ve never heard before.
