NCAA track: Husker women close season at nationals

The Nebraska duo of Brittni Wolczyk and Raynesha Lewis both had honorable mention All-America finishes on Thursday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Wolczyk's final throw of the javelin preliminaries went 158 feet, 9 inches, and her 17th-place finish missed second team All-America by one spot. Lewis posted a mark of 19-11 on her final attempt of the long jump preliminaries to finish 19th. The women's championships conclude Saturday.

The men's championships finish Friday. Nebraska defensive tackle Carlos Davis and Nick Percy both compete in the discus, with Husker high jumper Landon Bartel and triple jumper Kaiwan Culmer also competing.
