Morrow's departure puts NU recruiting into overdrive

The sudden departure of Ed Morrow this week made a busy recruiting period for Nebraska's coaches that much more hectic.

Now with three open scholarships to fill, NU coach Tim Miles and his staff will look for a power forward to go with what they hope is a guard or two to fill out next season's roster.

"Certainly we're going to look for someone that can rebound and do some of the things that Ed could," Miles said Wednesday night. "I believe we need someone at the center spot."

Miles added that he would like to keep 6-foot-9 sophomore Michael Jacobson in a power forward role with 6-11 freshman Jordy Tshimanga playing center, though he liked the idea of Jacobson in the middle of a small lineup.
