The Nebraska athletic director and the associate AD for football operations – who famously teamed up in Philadelphia back in November to help seal Scott Frost’s hire as the football coach – have spent many days on the road together since then.
Thursday afternoon, they made the very short commute to the Embassy Suites in Lincoln to talk football with about 300 Husker football fans during the first of two kickoff luncheons.
The pair mixed in some brass tacks and some storytelling – Moos, for instance, joked that Nebraskans are the nicest people out there, “until they get behind the steering wheel or a shopping cart at the grocery store” – and overall thought the full conference room was representative of the energy behind the NU athletic department and its football program.
