The singular goal for the Nebraska baseball team right now, as it has been for the past few weeks, is to win enough conference games to make the Big Ten tournament in Omaha. The past two games have allowed the team to take major steps toward that end. At the start of today’s game, they have moved from a tie for 11th in the standings, and just getting into the field, to tied for 8th. Wearing their black caps and socks on Championship Sunday, they were also looking for a sweep of Michigan.

Michigan grabbed the lead with one swing in the top of the second inning.
