Nebraska freshman middle blocker Maggie Mendelson and the U.S. U19 National Team won the gold medal at the Pan American Cup in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday.
Mendelson, the team captain, had six kills, two blocks and two ace serves in the USA's 25-15, 25-14, 25-17 sweep of Brazil in the championship match.
The U.S. team went 5-0 at the tournament without dropping a set.
