Malleck Leads Huskers in Lineup Debut

Reed Malleck made his debut in Nebraska's lineup at the Rod Myers/Duke Invitational with an opening-round 71 (-1) before closing the day in a tie for 25th through 36 holes in Durham, N.C., on Saturday.

A sophomore from York, Neb., Malleck followed his 71 in the first round with a second-round 74 (+2) on the par-72, 7,154-yard layout at the Duke University Golf Club. His one-over-par two-round total of 145 led the Huskers, who enter Sunday's final round in ninth place in the strong 14-team field that includes seven 2021 NCAA Regional qualifiers.
