There's a good chance Chad Luensmann won't pitch this weekend. That fact would have been surprising, to say the least, two years ago, and downright unfathomable after Luensmann's standout freshman season.
"It's been tough. Just finding that feel and control again hasn't been easy," Luensmann said Tuesday night. "But we're taking little steps in the right direction every day, and that's what we've been working towards; just getting better a little bit every day, and getting closer to that goal."
Six-foot-4 and 240 pounds, the square-jawed Luensmann is the guy you would pull off the bench first if you were picking out a Friday night starter at a major college program.
