Large group of fans from Nebraska volleyball player's hometown traveled to see her play

Megan Miller knew there would be family and friends in the crowd when the Nebraska volleyball team played a match last week against Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana.

The freshman defensive specialist grew up in Alexandria, a town of about 5,000 residents about 1½ hours from the Purdue campus. Her mother told her the high school volleyball team was coming, and Miller knew some friends would be there.

Before the match Miller saw a few familiar faces. But it wasn’t until after the match, when Miller’s mom got everybody together for a photo, that Miller saw how many people had come to see her play.
