Lindsey Thiele and Nicole Hansen shared individual medalist honors to lead the Nebraska "B" team to a tournament championship at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational in Manhattan, Kan., on Tuesday.
Hansen, a junior from Bloomingdale, Ill., fired an even-par 72 in Tuesday's final round on the 6,221-yard layout at Colbert Hills Golf Club. It followed a career-best 70 (-2) in the opening round and a second-round 77 on Monday. Hansen finished with a career-best three-round total of 219 (+3).
Thiele, a sophomore from Wahoo, Neb., joined Hansen atop the 62-player field with a final-round 78 (+6) to close with a career-best 219 (+3) over 54 holes.
