SANTA CLARA, Calif. — It was West Coast speed and flash, with future NFL arm attached, against good old-fashioned power.
Power won out. Husker Power.
Trying as this Nebraska football season may have been, it ended with celebration. And hope.
Nebraska beat UCLA 37-29 on Saturday night at Levi's Stadium with a relentless running attack that helped the Huskers go on a 30-0 run. When the fourth quarter began, only Nebraska players were holding four fingers in the air as the teams made a long walk to the other end of the field.
But it would be a fight to the finish with some drama.
